Junior Sports Clubs Invited to Home Matchdays

28 November 2018

Bury Football Club are actively seeking junior sports clubs or community groups to join us as guests of our grassroots club Bury FC Boys and Girls to take part in our home matchday entertainment.

Since the beginning of this season, The Community Trust has been overseeing the half-time entertainment, which has included a lap of the pitch for the invited groups.

We are now looking to increase the entertainment on offer, and starting with the Stevenage home game on Saturday, there will be three different activities taking place at half-time; a penalty shoot-out, a small-sided game and a race around the pitch.

For each home game, we will be inviting a primary school and a local junior sports club, in addition to the Bury FC Boys and Girls sides, who will take part in both the pre-match activities and one of the activities at half-time for that game.  All children participating will each receive a Family Ticket, allowing free entry to the game for themselves along with an adult or carer.

We also intend for activities to take place in different areas of the pitch, so that supporters in the Main and South Stands, as well as the visiting supporters, can all feel included in the entertainment.

If you are an organiser of a local junior sports club, and would like your team to be involved, please send an e-mail to sian.godwyn@buryfc.co.uk
