The first of 23 games played on 30th November over the club’s history, was a Lancashire League game with Heywood Central in 1889. 8,000 supporters were at Heywood’s stadium to see the Shakers record a 1-0 victory thanks to a George Ross goal.
Clapton Orient hosted the Shakers in 1912 for a Division Two game at Brisbane Road, where 10,000 fans watched the Shakers record a 2-1 victory. The goals came from John Brown and Tom Kay.
A 1927 Lancashire Senior Cup Semi Final away at Bolton Wanderers was a successful day out for Bury, as two goals from Les Vernon won the game 2-0 with 8,000 fans watching on.
West Bromwich Albion visited Gigg Lane in 1946 for a Division Two game. This game attracted a strong crowd of 17,790 supporters, who watched the Shakers win the game 4-0 thanks to goals from John Lindsay 2, Eddie Quigley and George Mutch.
Aston Villa arrived at Gigg Lane in 1968 for a Division Two game. Just 5,609 supporters were on hand to see the Shakers come out on top with a 3-2 victory, the goals coming from Jimmy Kerr, Brian Grundy and George Jones.
A 1985 home game with Walsall proved to be a successful day for Bury. 2,559 fans were on hand to watch this Division Three game as Bury ran out 2-1 winners, thanks to goals from Craig Madden (pictured at the top of the page) and Darren Beckford.
The last recorded game on this day took place in 2013 and a League Two clash away at Exeter City. 3,426 supporters watched as the game finished 2-2, with Daniel Nardiello and Nathan Cameron scoring the Bury goals.
