The Shakers' in-form Striker Nicky Maynard has extended his deal with the club until the end of the season, with the option of an additional year.
The 31-year-old has contributed five goals in as many starts for the Shakers, including a spectacular overhead kick for his first of two goals in the home game against Mansfield Town.
Earlier today we spoke to Ryan who told us: “I am delighted that Nicky has extended his contract. I told him when he came to the club that if he works hard and scores goals, then his efforts will be rewarded, so it was only right that we offered him the extension. Nicky has earnt this contract; it hasn't just been given to him.
“A lot of credit has to go to the Chairman as he has backed me on it and got the deal done early. We recognise that players of Nicky's calibre are hard to come by, so it was important that we secured his services.
“Nicky was happy to put pen to paper and is looking forward to continuing to be a part of what's going on at the club."
