From the 23 games played on 26th October, the Shakers have won 13 games, drawn 3 and lost 7. The very first of those 23 games took place in 1889 and a Lancashire League fixture at Hyde. Bury won the game 3-1 in front of 5,000 supporters with the goals coming from George Ross and two from a player called Swinton.

A 1985 Division Three clash with Reading at Gigg Lane brought a crowd of 3,697 supporters, where a Martin Dobson penalty, plus a brace of goals from Darren Beckford, won the game 3-1 for the Shakers.
Bristol Rovers came to Gigg Lane in 1996 for a Second Division game (tier three). With over 4,000 supporters in the ground, Phil Stant (pictured below) and John O'Kane scored the two goals that mattered in a 2-1 victory.
The last recorded game on 26th October took place in 2013 and a League Two clash with Wycombe Wanderers at Adams Park. Goals from Tom Soares and William Edjenguele (pictured at the top of the page) won the game for the Shakers, despite Wycombe's Tony Stewart giving the home side the lead.
