Loan Watch: 30th March

1 April 2019

We've compiled our weekly report on how our players currently out on loan fared this weekend.

Scott Burgess

Scott was present for the full game as his temporary York City side drew 1-1 on their travels. McLaughlin scored after ten minutes, assisted by Scott, before a late goal from James equalised for Guiseley just twelve minutes from time to share the points.

Tom Aldred

Tom played the full game for Motherwell as a late flurry saw them to a 3-0 win at home to St Johnstone. Goals in the seventieth, eightieth and ninety-second minute from Frear, Turnbull and Tait respectively saw the ‘Well to the three points. Tom did pick up a booking three minutes from time.

Harry Bunn

Harry started Southend’s home game with Shrewsbury before being replaced by Charlie Kelman sixty-six minutes in. He was unable to prevent his temporary side from falling to a fourth straight defeat as second-half goals from Okenabirhie and Waterfall helped Shrewsbury to a 2-0 win. The result means Southend are one place outside the drop zone, but only on goal difference.

Jordan Archer

Jordan played the full game for Southport as they entertained Brackley Town on Saturday. The game saw no goals as both sides had to settle for a point.

The result leaves Southport fifteenth in the league, having not won in their last five league matches, losing twice and drawing on three occasions.

Joe Skarz

Joe was another Shaker out on loan who played the full game. He was unable to prevent his side from falling to a defeat as a penalty in the seventy-second minute was converted by Obileye to grab maximum points for the visiting Maidenhead.

Dougie Nyaupembe

Dougie played the full game for Stalybridge Celtic this weekend as they travelled to Farsley Celtic. It was a nightmare start for Stalybridge as they fell behind in the opening sixty seconds, as Syers fired the hosts ahead. Spencer then doubled the lead after twenty-five minutes.

The second half saw Dougie claim an assist as Howard pull one back for Stalybridge Celtic just after the hour mark, but it wasn’t enough as they fell to a 2-1 defeat on the road.
