Loan Watch: 6th/7th April

8 April 2019

Here is our weekly round-up of Shakers currently out on loan.

Harry Bunn

Harry started the game for Southend as they travelled to Fleetwood. He opened the scoring after twenty-one minutes. Hyam also scored for United, but it wasn’t enough for the three points as Ched Evans’ brace ensured the points were shared.

It was Kevin Bond’s first game in charge of Southend after taking over from Chris Powell until the end of the season.

Joe Skarz

Joe and his temporary Halifax side travelled to table-topping Leyton Orient this weekend. It was a dream start for the Shaymen, who raced into a 2-0 lead. However, they were pegged back to 2-1 before the interval. Joe played the full game and picked up a booking, but unfortunately couldn’t prevent Orient scoring a last gasp equaliser.

Scott Burgess and Jordan Archer

Scott and Jordan played the full games for their respective temporary sides as York entertained Southport. It was Scott who came out on top in the battle, as Macauley Langstaff bagged the only goal of the game just after half an hour, as the Minstermen were 1-0 winners.

Tom Aldred

Tom was present for the full game as Motherwell entertained Rangers. The visiting Gers were 3-0 winners, thanks to a hat-trick from former Burnley man Scott Arfield.

Dougie Nyaupembe

Dougie was another Shaker out on loan who played the full game, as Stalybridge Celtic entertained Basford United. Basford were 2-0 winners as goals either side of half time from Galinski and Nash secured the three points for the visitors.
