SLO Information: Carlisle United

5 April 2019

Ahead of Bury's trip to Carlisle United this weekend, our SLO has put together useful information for supporters travelling to the match.

Bury: Are there any known traffic issues en route to the Stadium? I.e any road closures or roadworks?

Carlisle: The junction at Victoria Place/Warwick Road is closed for traffic travelling west. There are diversions in place. Journey time will not be affected. This is after the ground so shouldn’t affect fans coming from the M6.

Bury: Is car parking available for Bury fans? If so, please provide details (where, how much etc). If no, information on the nearest location would be appreciated.

Carlisle: Yes, in our supporter’s car park just behind the away end, accessed from Warwick Road. It is £3 to park in here.

Bury: What is the process for blue badge holders?

Carlisle: Accessed via the same entrance for the supporters’ car park. There is space for blue badge holders right outside the away turnstiles. If they show their badge to the car park steward, they will be able to park here FOC.

Bury: Please give details of pre-match venue for Bury fans (on-site bar, away fan friendly pubs etc)

Carlisle: We have two bars on site on the west side of the ground (opposite away end) The Sporting Inn and the Sunset Suite. Away fans are welcome in both.

Bury: Where is the nearest cash machine to the Stadium?

Carlisle: On Warwick Road just over the road from the ground at the local convenience store.

Bury: What is the nearest train station to the Stadium and what is the approximate distance and walking time?

Carlisle: Carlisle train station (on the west coast mainline) is a 15-minute walk to the stadium. Supporters need to go straight ahead towards the Griffin pub, then cross a road and head towards Nandos. This is the top of Warwick Road, follow this road straight down until you reach the ground.

Bury: What food and drink is available in the concourse at the Stadium?

Carlisle: We offer the usual stadium catering; burgers, hot dogs, pies as well as cold snacks. Alcohol is served in the away end as well as hot and cold drinks. We also offer kids meal deals for £3.

Bury: Is our drum allowed in the Stadium? What is the process for supporters looking to bring flags into the Stadium?

Carlisle: If you wish to bring a drum/flags into the stadium please call us on 01228 526 237 and we will confirm this with our Safety Officer.

Bury: What is the process for tickets on the day of the game? Can supporters pay on the turnstile or do they need to go to a Ticket Office first before going to the turnstile?

Carlisle: The away end ticket office is cash only and open from 1.30pm.

Bury: What are the accepted payment methods on the day?

Carlisle: Cash only at away ticket office. Card payment is accepted at the main ticket office if supporters want to buy there instead. This is situated on the west side of the ground, opposite away end.

Bury: What is the postcode for SatNav users?

Carlisle: CA1 1LL

Bury: Any additional information you think may be useful for our fans?
