Bury Football Club are delighted to announce a partnership with renewable energy firm Planet-U Energy.
The five-year sponsorship is one of the biggest deals in League Two history.
As part of the five-year sponsorship, the stadium will be powered by 100 percent renewable energy.
Planet-U Energy has vowed to support us in our campaign to gain promotion back to League One by saving the club money using green power. They will also work closely with our fans and the Bury FC community, and aims to be at the “forefront of this vital environmental change".
Planet-U Energy is one of the UK's fastest growing gas and electricity suppliers, forecast 10-fold growth in the next year.
The deal with the Shakers is not its first foray into sport and follows a 2018 sponsorship deal with the Leeds Rhinos rugby league club.
Director Matt McCarthy said: "We are very excited to welcome such an ambitious and fast-growing business into the ever-growing commercial family here at Bury FC.
"This is a landmark deal for not only the football club but also for League Two. We are looking forward to developing a successful relationship together.
"While it is still early days, this partnership is another positive step in the club's continued growth and an excellent opportunity to collaborate with a brand that shares our core values."
Grant Nicholson, Planet-U Energy CEO, said: "We are very proud and excited to be associated with Bury FC.
"The sponsorship gives us a platform to support the team, whilst driving awareness and growth for the Planet-U Energy brand.
"We are looking forward to a successful working relationship, delivering 100 percent renewable energy for the team."
