FA Youth Cup Fifth Round Confirmed

7 February 2019

The Shakers will face Preston North End in the Fifth Round of the FA Youth Cup on Friday 8th February. The tie will be played at Deepdale, kicking off at 7pm.

It has been an impressive run to the Fifth Round for the second year running. The Shakers kicked off their campaign with a 7-0 drubbing of North Shields, before beating Fleetwood Town 3-2, Stevenage 4-2 and then Peterborough United 1-0 in the last round. The Fourth Round saw Bury become the first team to score against Peterborough in the entire competition, rightly earning them this Fifth Round tie.

Former Preston defender Ryan Kidd has already got the upper hand on the Fifth Round opponents in a knockout competition this season. He saw his side to a victory on penalties after the teams played out a 1-1 draw in the Youth Alliance Cup.

Tickets will be priced at £4 for adults and £2 for concessions (Over 65s/Under 18s). Under 11s are free, providing they are accompanied by an adult. Bury season ticket holders can watch the action for free.
