Scott Burgess
Scott played the full game, helping his temporary side to a 2-0 home win against Nuneaton Borough. The Minstermen turned it on in the second half, scoring both of their goals after the break through Wes York and Hamza Bencherit. The victory meant the York City are now on a three-game winning streak.
Dougie Nyaupembe
Young right-back Nyaupembe was in action with Stalybridge Celtic again this weekend as they hosted Lancaster City. Unfortunately for Dougie, his temporary side fell to a 2-1 defeat as a Charlie Bailey got a goal either side of Neil Kengni’s to ensure that Lancaster City returned home with all three points.
Tom Aldred
Motherwell faced a tough trip at the weekend, taking on Brendan Rodgers’ Celtic side at Celtic Park. The home side were 4-1 winners thanks to goals from Scott Sinclair, Odsonne Edouard with two and Oliver Burke, Gboly Ariyibi replied for the ‘Well. Tom Aldred was named in the starting eleven but was forced off after twenty-two minutes with the scores level.
Harry Bunn
Harry was still absent from the Southend United matchday squad. Stephen Humphrys opened the scoring at the Wham Stadium in the first half before Daniel Barlaser’s second half strike for Accrington ensured the points were shared. Chris Powell’s side sit 13th in the league, thirteen points from a Play-Off place.
Jordan Archer
There was no place in the matchday squad for Archer, as his temporary side hosted former Gigg Lane tenants, FC United of Manchester. It wasn’t a match to remember for the 1,665 fans in attendance as the game finished 0-0.
Joe Skarz
Unfortunately for Skarz, he was still suffering from a thigh injury and is “still not close to being available for selection.” Halifax hosted Havant and Waterlooville on Saturday, battling to a point after James Berrett saw red after thirty-one minutes, the game finished goalless.
