SLO Information: Exeter City

15 February 2019

Ahead of our trip to Exeter City this weekend, our Supporter Liaison Officer has compiled useful information for your visit...

Bury: Are there any known traffic issues en route to the Stadium? I.e any road closures or roadworks?

Exeter: No problems anticipated.

Bury: Is car parking available for Bury fans? If so, please provide details (where, how much, etc.). If no, information on the nearest location would be appreciated.

Exeter: Please note that owing to very limited parking at St James Park, there is no on-site parking for supporters at St James Park on matchdays. There is also very limited residential parking available locally.

There are a few car parks near the ground though. There is the King William Street car park (NCP) or the car parks just off Western Way on Parr Street, Belmont, Belgrave Road, and Bampfylde Street car park and the Triangle car park (actually accessed from Clifton Road). These are all about five to 10 minutes' walk minutes from the club.

Bury: What is the process for blue badge holders?

Exeter: Blue badge holders can park in restricted areas (but not residential parking) where there will be no hazard to other road users

Bury: Please give details of pre-match venue for Bury fans (on-site bar, away fan friendly pubs, etc.)

Exeter: The Centre Spot Bar is open from 11 am and welcomes both home and away fans, and is located in the ground, next to the VIP entrance and old Reception. The bar offers a large range of drinks, pool table, and dart boards, all in a friendly atmosphere. The Centre Spot is also home to The Famous Exeter City Real Ale and Cider Emporium (opens at 1 pm), offering a great selection of real ales and ciders.

The open-air Patio “Export” bar is open from noon.

Red Square houses the Exeter City club shop, an outside bar, and the Junior Grecians Family Zone. There is also a dedicated catering van providing hot and cold delicious local produce.

The new Junior Grecians family zone will be open on matchday to supporters an hour-and-a-half prior to kick-off. The zone has video consoles, large TV screens, a refreshments stall, and table football.

Bury: Where is the nearest cash machine to the Stadium?

Exeter: Tesco local in Sidwell Street (3 minutes’ walk/0.1mile).

Bury: What is the nearest train station to the Stadium and what is the approximate distance and walking time?

Exeter: The stadium is served by St James Park rail station, immediately outside the ground. The station lies on the Avocet Line (First Great Western trains), which runs from Exeter St David’s to Exmouth, also calling at Exeter Central. The Exeter St David’s and Exeter Central stations connect the city to the other major cities across the UK.

Bury: What food and drink is available in the concourse at the Stadium?

Bury: What is the process for tickets on the day of the game? Can supporters pay on the turnstile or do they need to go to a Ticket Office first before going to the turnstile?
