We are pleased to announce that Danny Mayor’s goal against Grimsby Town on 8th September 2018, has been shortlisted for the 2018 EFL Goal of the Year at this season’s EFL Awards.
After the respective Sky Bet EFL Goal of the Month winners for 2018 were narrowed down to 10, fans are now being asked to pick the overall winner for the coveted Goal of the Year award.
Danny's goal was voted September's Goal of the Month, receiving 46% of the public vote.
Left unmarked on the halfway line, Danny turned in possession, drove two Grimsby defenders back before checking back inside to whip home an unstoppable 20-yarder.

The top five goals will be revealed week commencing 1st April, with the overall winner of the competition being voted for and revealed at this year’s EFL Awards on Sunday 7th April at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London.
