Bury Football Club can confirm that Neil Danns has signed a contract with Tranmere Rovers.
‘Dannzy’ captained the Shakers to promotion last season, making thirty-nine appearances, bagging twice. Both goals came in our trip to Macclesfield, including a Goal Of The Season contender.
It’s been a hectic summer for the midfielder, who represented Guyana at the Gold Cup, their first ever major tournament. It was one to remember for Neil, scoring three in three for his country, earning him a spot in the Team Of The Group Stage.
Since joining the Club in 2016, Danns has become a real fan favourite at Gigg Lane, making eighty-eight appearances for the Shakers in his time here.
Neil had the following message for supporters, “Thanks to everyone involved at the Club. It broke my heart to see everything end the way it did. Bury will always hold a place dear to me. I’m praying that the EFL do the right thing and reinstate the Club next season. Once again, thank you for the memories, support and love. UP THE SHAKERS!”
Everyone at the Club would like to thank Neil for his incredible commitment to the Club and his brilliant service.
Best of luck in the future, Skipper.
