Callum Reilly

Date of birth

185 cm

Republic of Ireland

Described as a high energy, left footed, versatile box-to-box central midfielder, who is also able to play wide left, Callum Reilly began his career as a Birmingham City academy graduate in 2012 under the then Blues manager, and current Bury manager – Lee Clark. Such was his success at St Andrews that he went on to make over 60 appearances for the Blues in the Championship before joining Burton Albion in March 2015.

His arrival, at the Pirelli Stadium, initially on a month’s loan, was turned into a permanent deal at the end of the 2014-15 season, where he signed a two-year deal.  Success was achieved for Callum and Burton Albion as promotion to the Championship was quickly realised, however, following a change of manager at Burton, appearances for the first team became sporadic and he joined Coventry City on loan in January, with whom he was to make 20 appearances. Released by Burton at the end of last season, the Shakers have managed to snare his signature despite interest from at least four other League One clubs.
