Media Accreditation at the Energy Check Stadium at Gigg Lane

Guidelines for all Media at the Energy Check Stadium at Gigg Lane

The Stadium:  We ask that the Stadium is referred to as 'The Energy Check Stadium at Gigg Lane' in all written or broadcast reports/updates.

General Interviews: All interview requests or general media enquiries relating to club affairs are to be directed to the media department, preferably via email to or by calling 0161 764 4881 (Option 4). We will endeavour to deal with every request from accredited media sources as soon as possible.

Media E-mail List:  If you wish to be added to our media mailing list, please contact us using to request your e-mail address is added to the system.

Pre-Match Press Conference: Pre-match press conferences with the Manager will take place at our Carrington Training Ground. Please contact us using the above details to book yourselves in.

Matchday Accreditation: All members of the media must apply for press box access, pitchside access (Photographers Only) and TV Gantry Access. Your request must be submitted via the online DataCo I-PBS System for match day access.

Should you incur any problems with the online system, then please contact the media department asap via e-mail  or via the phone 0161 764 4881 (Option 4).

Your Press Ticket: All press tickets will be made available via Reception Two. Reception Two is approx half way down the main stand, and must not be confused with Main Reception.

At this point, you will be asked to sign the relevant DataCo sheet as attending the game.

Refreshments will be available to all members of the media at half-time. Please have your press accreditation cards available as you collect your tickets.

Parking: Please note, we have NO parking facilities at the club for members of the media.

Should you have any out of the normal requests on matchdays at the Energy Check Stadium at Gigg Lane, please contact Gemma Goodall as early as possible or on 0161 696 8507.

Teamsheet & Programme: Your complimentary matchday programme will be issued to you when you collect your ticket at Reception Two, teamsheets will be brought to the Press Box as soon as they are ready to be distributed. We hope to have your teamsheet in your hand by 2:15 pm (Saturdays) and 7:50 pm (evenings).

Facilities at Energy Check Stadium at Gigg Lane: Free to access Wireless Internet access is available in the press box. Your ticket will also show the WiFi password. Visiting clubs have the use of ISDN for website commentary, should this option not be used, then visiting radio stations will be offered the spare point. Please note, there are no other ISDN points at the Energy Check Stadium at Gigg Lane other than BBC Radio Five Live and BBC Radio Manchester. Only one other ISDN connection is available and that will always reserved for the opposition team's website commentary. Power is freely available in the press box via the standard three pin socket.

Post Match Press Conference:  The Bury Manager & players will be brought to the press room by club staff. Visiting media may also use the press room and boards for their own interviews.  Visiting media may also conduct their post-match presser in the dugout area following the game.  In either case, club media staff will touch base with visiting clubs media staff prior to the game.
